Goal: We are currently following a sample of approximately 1,400 individuals who were initially interviewed in adolescence while incarcerated within the province of British Columbia, Canada. Most of these youth are now between the ages of 23-40. Their criminal history information and various risk assessments have been coded over the course of this study.
The study recently received four years of funding from Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council to continue coding repeated measurements of the Community Risk Needs Assessment instrument as well as other risk assessment tools currently used by criminal justice system practitioners in Canada.
Methods: Semi Structured Interview, Latent Class Analysis, File-Based Data, CAPP:IRS, Repeat Measures of Risk Assessments, Semi-parametric group-based modeling, Structured Interviews, PCL:YV, Gang Interviews, Official Criminal Histories, Survival Methods
